"Soaring riffs blurring the lines between metal and hardcore, amazing technical breakdowns, innovative usage of sound samples, screaming that was evil enough to wake the dead and a huge overall sound which did more than do justice to the three instruments that created it. Ethereal left me dumbfounded." - Kris Stewar t& Blackglass.co.uk.

With that in mind, one may be forced to subdue any sort of cosmetic pre-depiction of Ethereal; a band who, however devout of their music - do not require any one particular image to sit comfortably alongside it. Neither Convention, Stereotype or aesthetic regulation are part of this bands regime - as this bunch of perfectly normal British lads need not be held back by the shackles of certain laws that accompany music Genres of this day and age, and while avoiding any kind of pretentious demeanour or self-conscious belief, Ethereal - in their short time together as a band have always wrote what they want, played how they want and looked how they want. Whether it be a bracing Orchestral intonation sounding softly against the juxtaposed harshness of a propulsive guitar-riff, or a machine gun-esque Drum beat riding Rhythmically along-side a enigmatically distorted Bass-Line; Ethereals sound continues to develop with a truly inventive sincerity. With a alarmingly energetic approach to every single concise and expressive note, this group of lads from the North East of England will Undoubtedly thrive to offer their own sentimentally melodic approach to Alternative music. In doing so, along with thousands upon thousands of influences, artists and musicians gone by, they will take thier place amongst those who choose to live, rather than simply exist - and in that, they will consider themselves supernal.
