Eso-Charis
The amazing band known as "Eso-Charis", was founded in 1995, around areas of Arkansas. The original name of the band was "Elliot", but they later changed that since there were already bands with the name. The original line up was the same as the line up was when the band ended, exept Matthew Depper was the original guitarist, not Jayson Kent Holmes.
Eso-Charis went to the studio in 1997 to record their first demo, "The Plateau Green". Around this time, the band changed their name to Eso-Charis, which in Greek meant, "Within or inside grace"
Soon the band started to slowly gain popularity and they caught the attention of Bruce Fitzhugh, who recorded their first full length album at Barry Poynter Studios. The album was recorded in 1997, and selftitled, featuring nine tracks. The album was released in 1998 while Eso-Charis was touring with Embodyment and Living Sacirifice.
Eso-Charis's album was rereleased on solidstate Records in 2001. This was their only album to make a label.
In February of 1999, Matthew Putman and Arthur Green left the band to go to Living Sacrifice, who were in both of Living Sacrifice's two last albums before they quit. Cory Putman went on to the band Norma Jean as the lead vocalist and is making alot of success.
