Lets not over-professionalize it. We are kids, thats who we are--lets be who we are.

So Ill try not to over-professionalize this bio.

Perhaps the hardest lesson artists have to learn is how to be themselves. For Escape From Folly this has been a process. We still dont know who we are, and I doubt well ever fully comprehend it, but weve learned that we sure cant be anyone else.

For Escape From Folly there is really one reason to record a CD, and that is so people can sing along at concerts.

"So You Can Sing Along" is about un-over-professionalization. The goal is honesty. Everything from the music ,to the artwork, and back to the lyrics, screams that we haven't figured everything out yet, but were working our tails off trying.

Since the release of the three song EP, "Something about Two Birds and One Stone," Escape From Folly seems to have grown (Dave might even start shaving before graduation). The lyrics, the live shows, the opportunities, the teamwork, everything seems to be coming together in small ways.

Our band resume would include the bands weve played with: LAST TUESDAY, STAPLE, SPOKEN, HOUSE OF HEROES, STELLAR KART, THE WEDDING, THE SWITCH, and INHALE/EXHALE, along with several notable, local bands. Weve played shows with some of our favorite acts--just getting to see these bands has been an adventure. We sometimes joke that the only reason were in a band is to get in sweet shows for free!

The future is scary but all the more exciting. Right now were so excited about the direction we're going. We know it will take a miracle for things to work out. David will be graduating from high school this year--Jake and Nick the following year. Jon, the youngin', still has a few years before his graduation. For now, the older members are pursuing college and real jobs until the time is right to make music a career. But for now..............
