The Album, the videos and Jim
Current mood: calm
Hey up there,
Sorry its been so long since we last posted owt, quite a lot has happened since then so I'll give you a bit of a summary.
We found a new Bass Player which we are pretty buzzin about. As the observant among you will have noticed, Jim is his name (he is in the band member section of our profile) and he got in touch after we sent out an advert to our mail list and as many other people as we knew.
We met up for a bevvie first and hit it off straight away so since then he has been practicing with us for the last couple of months and is involved in writing some of our forthcoming new material so its pretty exciting. He is a cracking player and brings an added dynamic to the band for sure. Our first gig with Jim will be on 1st September at the East Park Rocks festival and then we are pencilled in to play 11th september at The Sesh (Linnet and Lark) We cant wait to catch up with the legendary Mak at Linnet, whom its always a pleasure to play for (Your too good for that place geezer!!)
We have got a couple of Vids in the Pipe line which we filmed some footage for a couple of months back. Chris Tichborne is currently editing them together although the video for stay calm which is being produced in Manchester will take a bit longer as it will have a large degree of animation work to be completed. First glance at the animatic (rough storyboard) looks like it is gonna be pretty special.
Our label manager Ken is in Japan at the moment to help promote the Ernest and make somehead way in the land of the rising sun, so watch this space...
Ta for anyone who bought the Sonic Vista compilation album by the way, I'm sure you'll agree its a cracker, with some real musical diversity and we were well chuffed to be put on there.
The Album is coming along nicely. We have got a large section of it recorded but still have some ideas we want to iron out in the practice room before we commit them to disk. We are well happy with the progress and should certainly be nominated for the next Mercury award!
Take care anyhow, see yus soon
Terry
