Band frontman Erik Smith has been recording and playing music live for over 5 years. His sound has grabbed the attention of many venues, new fans, and several recording artists. After changing his major from Architecture, he received his degree from Washington State University with a BA in Music where he studied percussion and was avidly involved in almost every single music group in the program. While there, he wrote, arranged and performed many of his own works including music for marimba ensembles, the show choir, vocal jazz, and his well-loved band. His performances are spread throughout the mainland United States from West Virginia, Minnesota, and Nebraska, to Colorado, Idaho, Washington, and California. Although he remains unsigned, the relentless pursuit of his dream as a recording/touring artist has not faltered. He has recorded three albums within the last three years and has been marketing and selling them wherever he plays. He provides a wide variety of music from solo acoustic to the full band sound from coffee shops to 500-seat theaters. What he brings to the table is his great originals, fresh cover tunes, and a sense of humor that audiences love. He is a musicians musician: A fantastic entertainer with the ability to teach his audiences something new.

THE YES MEN::::: JIM STEINER (electric bass) joined Erik Smith in the spring of 2005. He has perfected the art of less is more in his style. Dont let that fool you. He can still lay down some funky licks that have become crucial to the sound of the band. His is a student at the University of Idaho and hails from Sandpoint, ID where he grew up with music. His father, a local music shop owner, had Jimmy listening and playing the classics when he was just a little boy. Now, he plays music all over the place! Whether its laying back for a nice balled or rocking out to a faster groove, Jimmy gives it all hes got, even if he plays bare foot! ---- TODD RUBIE (drums) is a percussion major at Washington State University where his work ethic has put him at the top of his studio. Coming from Bothell, he is the newest addition to the band. Todd played with a band called the Hobby for a while before joining Erik Smith. This new switch has provided a large outlet for his sound. With all the different styles to play from bossa nova to rock and swing, Todd has been ready for the challenge. Todd gives the band that extra drive that makes audiences keep asking for more! And, although he plays with outward emotion, hes got a heart like a teddy bear! He works hard for the music, and you can hear it! ----- ERIK SMITH (vocals) Born of parents with masters degrees in music, he is self taught on guitar and has training in both vocal and instrumental music. All songs are written and arranged and all recordings were performed by Erik Smith. His band has yet to record as a groupbut soonsoon. What you hear on the demo is what youll get. No tricks. No gimmicks. Just great music!
