Eric Lives Here was disqualified from the "Best Unsigned Bands" contest on Rocksellout.com because of some conflicts with IP addresses.

I know a lot of you were probably just voting from the same computer, but the contest viewed that as cheating even if it was two completely different people voting from the same computer...i know, i know.

I was actually in France at the time of the contest, and I know for a fact that two people voted for Eric Lives Here in an internet cafe, which also showed up as one IP address: Yes, two completely different people, same IP address, disqualification. I guess we all know for next time... So we were DQ'd and "The Moths" were given the win, but you all gave us one hell of a run for that 24 hours -

11/25/06 - The wait is officially over; After months of studio work, Eric Lives Here is proud to announce the release of its debut EP "Misplaced Mistakes." Currently, the CD is available at www.cdbaby.com/ericliveshere, our live shows, and is ready for order at over 1,500 independent music stores all across the country including the Exclusive Company (WI), Co-Op Records (IL), Cheapo Disc (MN), CD Warehouse (MI), Spinnaker's (MA), Street Light (CA), and Vinyl Fever (FL) just to barely name a handful. iTunes will also be picking up the tracks from "Misplaced Mistakes" within the next few months. Thanks to all; it has been a great ride thus far and we appreciate all of the loyal fan support that we have received since our inception just a short time ago. 10/30/06 - It's been a loooooooong wait everyone. But FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY Eric Lives Here is able to offiically announce that the release of it's 5 Song Disc entitled "Misplaced Mistakes" will be available for purchase in November of 2006. The disc will contain favorites such as "Tongue in Cheek" ; "Just Go" ; "Remember to Breathe" ; "Gold" ; and "Oh oo Whoa." If you haven't preordered your disc, you have every right to do so!!!!!!! 9/27/06 -It's been a while, but there is a lot going on with the band at the moment. First off, our E.P. should, for surely this time, be ready for purchase in about another month making for an October/November release date. We'll keep you posted on the exact day the CD will be ready for purchase. The E.P. is officially being called Misplaced Mistakes, a 5-track disc, with complete artwork, etc. We have many pre-ordered at this point, so if you would also like yours pre-ordered to guarantee yourself a disc, let us know at the next show or on MySpace.
Next, we are officially sold out of the original Eric Lives Here T-Shirt. But Don't Panic!!!! We will be ordering a new shipment of Eric Lives Here T-Shirts known as, the Second Edition. The shirts will be slightly different than the originals and will also include print on the back as well as print and design on the front. Get Your sizes in for these now if you'd also like to guarantee yourself a shirt this time around!! Also, if you look at the bottom of our myspace page - http://www.myspace.com/ericliveshere - there is other Eric Lives Here merchandise available. And thank you to everyone who had such an interest to buy our shirts and pre-order CDs.
Finally, there are many shows to come, so keep an eye out. Booking is being made as we speak - Many more shows at the college as well as out of town/state gigs. Again, thanks to all who keep supporting us by getting the merchandise and coming to our live shows. We can't do it without you!!


9/2/06 - Thanks to all those who checked out our show in Fremont, Wisconsin last night. We had a lot of requests for CDs after the show, and I can't stress enough that the CD will be out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Currently undergoing a final mastering process at DV Productions, the disc will then need to be printed-adding about 2 more weeks to the release date as orginally planned. Also, songs will be placed back on the site at that time as well. Right now, these songs are just here to have something available but it is not even close to what the mastered tracks will sound like. If you want us to reserve your copy or find out where you can buy the disc, just leave us your e-mail address with a subject line of "ELH NEW DISC" and we will respond to you as soon as any word changes. Again, thanks for coming out to the show and a thanks to BoxKar for being so damn cool to us. It was a great time for everyone!

All shows through sept. 23rd are in stone except Sept. 9 which should be solidified tomorrow. Also, once the CD is out, new tracks will be posted on the website to replace these short, hardly samplable tracks. Check in for the newest tracks and you WILL NOT be dissapointed.

Now that we're getting back into the swing of playing shows, our schedule will be changing frequently once again. Sorry for those who may have came to previous shows in surprise not to see us, we had to cancel some because we needed to finish the CD in the studio and some of the venues did not warn people ahead of time ---i guess it happens. But we are constantly shuffling shows between venues and at the moment, we're playing a lot of shows at colleges, especially SNC in De Pere. As far as the CD release, it will be out in another month or two. There is a lot of technicalities that go into a CD release, which we are finding out at the moment, but you're patience is appreciated. However, the disc should be done in before 2007. AND FINALLY FOR THE SHOWS-We will try to update as much as possible, Sept. 23rd is in stone, the others are still being shuffled around. We will do our best to let you know where we are.....

Okay everyone, here's the latest update:
We are completely finished in the studio, and the tracks are currently being mixed and mastered at DV Productions in Milwaukee. We currently have the first mastered version, but we will be working with the production team at the studio for a few more sessions. It may take a few months but we will create the final version as soon as we can. We should have the CD ready very very soon!!! Check out www.cdbaby.com for those of you out-of-state who may not be able to get to the shows in the area.

Songs on this site right now are just pieces of songs except Gold. Just ignore these tunes. We will be posting other songs within the next 2 weeks to promote the release of the EP. These songs obviously do not fully represent the band in any way, shape, or form. Check back in September for the new tracks.

ABOUT ERIC LIVES HERE
Whether it be college campuses or out-of-state venues, Eric Lives Here is taking a refreshing stab into the music scene. After forming in the beginning of 2006, the band began playing shows at college campuses and became exclusives at Wisconsin's St. Norbert College. The response was so amazing that the band decided to record a five song EP that summer of 2006. This November saw the release of the musical works produced at those studio sessions, as the band continues to work their new style of "not too hard, not too soft" into the music scene. With a blend of acoustic and electric guitars, keyboard, drums, and vox, Eric Lives Here has combined the elements of pop-rock's catchy choruses, thoughful lyrics, and melodic overtones to illuminate the stage with their raw musical approach.
ELH's fan base is growing daily as the band continues to play an array of live shows, unleashing further potential and tightening loose ends. The release of the EP is yet another step for the fresh band as they continue to travel on their musical journey. Recently, Eric Lives Here opened for the soon-to-be national Boxkar, and Twin Cities based band Jellostone.
