Epitaph was officially formed in the fall of 2003 after a few practices between Bob, Larry, and Chris. Bob, who had previously worked with Larry on an earlier project, had placed an ad in a local online music site looking for other musicians to jam with. Chris, who had just left another local band, replied and started collaborating with them as well. After a few weeks, and a couple song ideas, Epitaph was born. There was still something missing. Almost two months later, through a friend of the band, a bassist in the area was brought to their attention. A couple practices later, Mike joined in as the low end.
