Members: John, Ryan, Josh

John, Ryan, and Nick all have a musical history together that is far too long (and most likely far too boring) to recount here.

John and Ryan had been playing together as a duo on and off for a few years when they decided to get serious about their music and rented a rehearsal space. They put out an add for a lead guitar player and a bassist and recieved almost no response. About a month later, some creepy people called and harrassed them. After those calls, came and e-mail from Josh Washburn, who seemed extremely excited about what he read in the ad and extremely serious about his music.

After playing about three songs, Josh was the new guitarist. They came up with the name Iodine, but scrapped it after finding numerous other bands by the same name.

They found the name Empire of One fitting and set out to find a bassist. They didn't have to look very far. Nick Taft, a longtime friend of John and Ryan was more than willing to fill the position. After a few rehearsals they began the recording of their first demo, which is almost done. You can hear the rough mixes that the boys have so far right here.
