In early 2007, singer/songwriter KC Barras recorded three demos with producer/intern Lane Johnson in Atlanta at Matt Goldman's studio (producer of bands such as Copeland, Underoath, As Cities Burn.) Barras was in Georgia recording with Goldman for his previous band. Although his former band would never see a release date for their record, Barras musical ambitions led him back to his hometown of Gilbert, Arizona with the three demos he called Emerald Honor.

Emerald Honor was then formed in the AZ suburb of Gilbert in May 2007 by vocalist Barras, who along with guitarists Vince Pierri and Marto Cordova started writing music together that would result in the band's self titled full-length album.

Following three months of writing and rehearsing, Barras, Pierri and Cordova entered Blue Light Audio/Media Studios with Phoenix based producer Cory Spotts (Job For A Cowboy, Greeley Estates, Bless the Fall) to start tracking their self-financed debut. The trio completed recording after three long months in the studio.

With the album finished, it was time to put the final touches to the line up. During the recording process, drummer Graham Orthmann and guitarist Aaron Harris were introduced to the band and formed an immediate friendship. Once Pierri left the band for personal reasons, Orthmann and Harris quit their respective projects and joined Emerald Honor. The band was made whole with the addition of Josh Applebach on bass.

December 2007 marked the official release of Emerald Honor's debut. Catchy melodies and ambient guitar hooks have already distinguished the album as a stand out in the AZ scene. TheDailyChorus.com with over 320,000 visitors, put Emerald Honor in the top 40 unsigned bands in the US. They were also featured in Get Out magazine with over 500,000 readers a month. There is no stopping Emerald Honor In 2008, as the band intends to rise to the top of the Arizona music scene and then bring their unique brand of rock music to the rest of the world.
