Formed in February of 2003, [embassy] is a five-piece original rock band from Columbus, Ohio. Their unique sound combines catchy vocal harmonies with the edge and drive of modern alternative rock, and weaves them together with thought-provoking lyrics. With their epic choruses and poetic verse, [embassy]â€™s music grants listeners a rare combination of both melody and introspection, which is undoubtedly the reason for their ever growing fan base across the United States. In the two years since its inception, [embassy]â€™s following has quickly spread and has spawned touring and performances in nearly a dozen different states including such major markets as New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Austin, Washington DC, Cleveland, and Columbus. UPDATE: The band recently finished its four-song EP with renowned producer Tim Patalan (Sponge, Love Drug, The Fags) at The Loft studios outside Detroit, MI and has since been steadily gaining in record industry attention. In September the band was invited to showcase for major labels such as Epic, Virgin, Columbia, RCA and Warner Bros. In addition, Embassy has received such accolades as being named a Top 10 National Finalist for MTV and College Television Networkâ€™s Best Music on Campus contest as well as being named as one of the nationâ€™s Top 10 Unsigned Bands by AlternativeAddiction.com. The band continues to tour steadlily and is preparing to head into the studio to record their first full length album.
