ELORA.MO

Alternative / Rock / Indie

Elora is an indie-rock band based out of Springfield, Missouri. Drawing their influences from bands like Coldplay, Mae, Emery, Delirious, and Cool Hand Luke, Eloras mellow, drifty riffs and deep lyrics combine to form a fresh, unique rock sound.

Eloras co-founders Matt Stinton (keys, guitars, vocals) and Derek Dalene (bass, vocals) established the band in October of 2003. After adding drummer Matt Letten, they began to refine their sound. In need of a permanent lead guitar player, they added Nathan Knight in October of 2005.

Lyrically, Elora explores the joys and sorrows of life both seen and unseen. Their song Eclipse for example, is about someone being so infatuated with someone else that they begin to change, hoping that the other person will notice them. As they begin to change, they eclipse and less and less of who they really are is visible.

Elora's passion and love for music is seen in every note, chord, and cymbal that is struck. For more information about Elora, visit their Myspace page at: www.myspace.com/eloramo.
