There are no two ways about it the voice of George Green is going to sell a lot of
records.
So distinct is the voice of Elora Danans frontman that, within six months, he has
become known as one of Perths most inspiring singers, and his band the citys next
hot prospect.
Its easy to tell when a band is about to break through. Theres something about the
way people talk about them and the fact that everyone is talking about them.
Other bands are talking about them, promoters are talking about them, and music
critics are talking about them. Most important of all, though, is that the punters are
talking about them.
By the time they had played a handful of shows, Elora Danan were packing rooms
and being invited to support anyone and everyone about to take the stage.
The bands first record, We All Have Secrets, is one of those rare glimpses into a
band everyone knows is going to be huge, before it has actually happened. And its
exciting, because its like being in on a secret that no one knows about, and the
music snob in all of us is looking forward to having been there from the start before
everyone else jumped on board.
The actual story of the band is too short to be of any interest. When they formed,
what significant events have taken place its all irrelevant, because weve caught
them at the beginning. All of that stuff will come later, once its happened, and in a
strange but meaningful way, we who have been there from the start will be a part
of that.
