This is a concept that is engrained in the minds of young children everywhere, and a philosophy that four teenagers from Sterling, Virginia live by everyday. They are just four regular guys with an intense passion for music, and the desire to spend their lives making it. Manny Negron, Anthony Phillips, Ben Spear, and Adam Zuckerman make up Elixir of Jade, this aspiring indie rock quartet, spilling their guts out through their music.

The indie-rock foursome Elixir of Jade, hailing from Sterling, VA, is ready to break out into the open. Consisting of two ripping guitars, a powerful bass and a driving set of drums, the band is currently packing a very powerful yet melodic sound. Elixir of Jade originated as an acoustic project started by guitarists Anthony Phillips and Adam Zuckerman, an impressive song writing duo. Drummer Ben Spear was added to the mix when Anthony and Adam were preparing to play a small coffee house show and thought theyre music would sound better with a drummer. They were right, and Elixir of Jade acoustic rock band was born.

After playing a few shows with the acoustic rock feel, the trio realized that they were seriously lacking power, excitement, and intensity in their live shows. They decided to shake things up, switching over to electric guitars. It was decided that they had made the right move after playing their first show with their new sound. It was an All Star Battle of the Bands, and the new Elixir of Jade left their mark on the competition walking away with a first place, $4000 to a local music store, and a spot to open for classic rock legends Little Feat. The trio continued to write music and play shows over the summer. The most recent addition to the band is bassist Manny Negron. Manny has not only brought a fuller, richer sound to the band, but also another creative musical mind adding to the mix.

Elixir of Jade is extremely committed to what they do, and each member has a true passion for their music. They thrive off of playing live music, and want nothing more than to create more music and share it with the world.
