Electric Valentine is an electro/pop band from Huntington Beach, CA, made up of legendary broadway singer Lauren Baird and grammy-award winning producer Chris Qualls. The two met in Sao Paulo, Brazil while fighting for the rights of the local farmers. They recorded their first single 30,000 feet in the air on the flight home. This set the precedent for their "extreme" approach to music and recording. For the follow-up single "Dark Nights & Darker Hearts" EV rented a cold war era soviet sub from a certain eccentric Australian billionaire but could not get the permits from the local government to operate the machinery as civilians. Instead they hitched a ride on a tanker transporting molasses to Japan and tracked the vocals in an unused (and obviously unworking) freezer. The upcoming sky-diving themed video features the band performing in free fall at sunset over the Sahara Desert.
