Elbows in Numbers is Flaxl, G.Nod, Olli and Shorty, who make music together since 2002/2003 with their instruments, which are virtuosly played by them in their own style. It gets very loud on their regular rehearsals, because all amps are switched to maximum power and the hole Berlin-Schlachtensee-Area is coverd by a carped of melodic sound. roumors say, that the rehearsal-room is the greatest energy-consumer of the city besides the metro when EliN is rehearsing! but that got a reason: while Olli is breaking himself all of his bones when he's blasting the high-frequency-rythms, and G.NoD makes the speakers puke by his energetic, aggressive and sensitive poetic singing, the two low and high stringed virtuosos Flaxl and Shorty have to give everything to reciprocate the loudness, so the listener gets the full range of harmonics. the EliN-songs, which could be classified into the big genre of hard rockmusic, have a playtime from one to five minutes, which will make any commercial success nearly impossible. when you see ELBOWS IN NUMBERS live, it would look like this: an afro is swinging between the drums, in front there's a big bouncingball bouncing up and down on stage, on his left a slightly hyperactive one hitting into the strings like a madman, while the right edge is occupied by the apparently only calming member, who plays his funky basslines in a inimitable coolness.
