Tugged away in a high school canteen in the tiny country of Singapore, four friends talked about their day in school and bragged about music. That's when the idea of a jamming session at a neighbourhood practice studio came about and everything started to fall into place. EighthWorldWonder would proberbly be every high school teenager's dream of forming a band. But this band wasn't formed just because it was cool, instead, it was through the passion of music from each of their members.
With influences from bands like Greenday, Lost Prophets, Taking Back Sunday and Electrico, 8WW practises covers and have written songs through their emotions and everyday life, also performing in school concerts.

EighthWorldWonder dreams to reach out to the local music scene, like how fellow local bands like Caracal, West Grand Boulevard and electrico did it.

With the final high school year in 2007 and the final examinations looming, things have been quite quiet recently for this bunch of 16 year-olds. But it wouldn't be a surprise if they explode again after their school commitments end by the end of this year. Things look promising for these young talents and hopefully, they'll make it big.

Hi peeps, We tried our new song during the last few minutes of our Jam session a few days ago.
It's called "What You Want Is Not What You Need". This is just a rough sample of the song cause it was recorded with another device so it sounds poor. Expect a Clear and 'official' version of our new song in the coming weeks. School Holidays Ends! --- Ryan
