If you know anything about life in suburban Chicago, you know about the boredom. The repetition of the daily routine. Most kids around here never break out of the cycle. They go to school, go to more school, get a job and work, do 40 more years of work. 2.5 kids. 1.2 dogs. Retire. Die without ever really living. But every once in a while, some of us find a way out of the game.

Emerging from the protective cocoon of suburbia in May of 2002, Eggroll Willie is breaking out as a punk band. An agressive punk band. Agressive is a solid word. These kids will fight you with their instruments and intimidate you with their vocals. You probably think that anyone who grew up in the suburbs can't be tough. Well, in the case of Eggroll Willie, you're right (except for lead singer Nik, Bassist John and Drummer Dan.)

Guitarist Sasa has been playing his instrument for as long as you've known him. Unless you've known him for more than seven years. He guides the insanity with rhythm just by plucking, pounding, clawing and caressing some strings. Nik sings. And screams. And shakes his head. Not to mention the other usual stuff such as writing lyrics, standing tall and sweating. John plays bass and does backup vocals. Bass is subtle, so I would not fuck with him. Fair warning. And Dan drives the machine, breaks sticks and makes beats. He also tackled Tennessee Titan Chris Brown, just ask him. Don't ever make the mistake of asking Dan why we can't embrace this world, this way. Trust me.

As a collective, these four individuals have combined to produce several smash hits. Just check out their debut EP, Recruited to Hate, released on One Minute Records. They have already played many out-of-state tours in support of this release across the midwest. And rest assured, there will be plenty more material and many more tours to get their message out in the future.
