I've been playing guitar since I was 12 years old. I grew up with a rather contageous musical atmosphere around my house. My dad played music for a living for about 30 years. When he finally decided to stop traveling and stay at home to play and work I was exposed to a lot of music. He plays guitar all the time... plays music on the radio... sings all the time... it was hard for me NOT to take in all of the musical goodness.
What first got me exposed to guitar was a band called Boston(www.boston.org). A classic rock band that my father got me listening to when he gave me a Greatest Hits CD by them. So, to make a long story short, I woke my dad up one winter night begging him to teach me how to play. The rest was history. After then I began experimenting with different kinds of music from southern rock to jazz. Country really got my attention though... specifically outlaw country. The Country that sort of blends southern rock into it. I think what attracted me to it the most was the drive of the rock mixed with the passion and heart-felt lyrics and meanings of country. This is was I want to persue as an artist and musician. All I can do for now is sit back and watch what the future brings and keep on keepin' on.
