The Dufresne's project was born in January 2004. The desire to give substance to their previous musical experiences led the band members to theirfirst recording in July with the Red House Recording Studio in Senigallia (Linea77, Max GazzE, Subsonica, One dimentional man,..) in artistic coproduction with DAVID LENCI (Blonde red head, Steve Albini,One dimentional man, Three second kiss). Twelve tracks with Italian lyrics: hardcore, metal and rock merge into one another in electronic atmosphere and find their best expression in live performances.
The following year they went back to studio. This time the artistic direction was taken over by the Californian DARIAN RUNDALL, the producer of Pennywise, Yellowcard, Suicidal Tendencies: the outcome was six new tracks with English lyrics of strong emotional impact, and the first live performances abroad in Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland.
When they came back Dufresne signed with 'METATRON MANAGEMENT' and the booking agency 'VIRUS CONCERTI'. Live shows continue in Italy, and Dufresne joined on 'Available for Propaganda Tour' by Linea 77.
In March 2006 the band signed for V2 RECORDS and since April it has been promoting the album called ATLANTIC (11 tracks 6 in Italian, 5 in English) which came out in Italy on October 13th 2006. In the same month Dufresne joined the 'TASTE OF CHAOS TOUR 2006' Italian show in Bologna as the only Italian band.
Since December 2006 Dufresne have been on the I-TUNES Italy homepage and on Exlusive MTV Italian site where it is possible to listen to the entire album 'Atlantic' and watch their first videoclip 'Un lungo sacrificio'.

The 22nd of March 2007 the "EUROPEAN ATLANTIC TOUR" start. One month, 23 shows in 4 different countries. They open for PLEYMO in France and DOPAMINE in UK. They lead the rest of the tour in Netherlands and Germany.

In the same period "ATLANTIC" was released in Gemany (13 April), UK (16 April) and France (23 April).
