In 1996 the punkrock-band DRUNK was founded on the ruins of the hardcore-tour-monsters Life, But How To Live It? and So Much Hate. Various members of DRUNK have also played in ancient norwegian hardcore-bands like Barn Av Regnbuen and Bannlyst.
We were all really good friends, and figured it was a shame we didnt have a band together.
At the time we were a bit tired of the fast, complex hardcore-sound of our previous bands, and decided to go for a simpler and slower, but still powerful approach. We also threw in some pop-music. and then. We were DRUNK!
Ok, ok I know that some of you probably think so-called pop-punk is boring with a capital b. Bands who play punkrock with pop-music energy that is. We like to think that we play pop-music with hardcore/punkrock energy! I guess youll have to book us and see us live, to see what Im talking about :)
After some line-up changes. and a few years and a few tours we were talked into recording for our first 7. ( thanx to Tor Andre r.i.p. )
It was actually a quite good idea to make records!
The band was much easier to book.
Shows were much more fun to play.
Bla, bla, bla I guess you can figure out the rest of the story.
We did kind of a bluesbrotherish tour of eastern Canada a few years back.
We played all sorts of weird places. It was hillerious! We had never toured outside europe before, and had a great time with our new Canadian friends in 2 Pump Louie (Toronto), "The Frenetics" (Montreal) and Born Dead Icons (Montreal).
Normally DRUNK is ready to play anytime anywhere, but right now were working on new songs for a new album. So. please have patience with us.
