The story starts in 1997, with James Lancaster and his band, Drop Method, releasing their demo, Medium. Drop Method would go on to open for some amazing bands, including Hatebreed, Madball, Merauder, and Propain. Then, in true rock-star fashion, Lancaster unexpectedly died in 1999. Other members would create a new band in tribute to him, called A Better Tomorrow.
Fast forward to the summer of 2005. James' nephew, Kyle Phillips, found an old tape of Drop Method's demo, and began listening to it religiously. Then fifteen, Kyle began playing guitar, while his friends Tim Starr and Nick "Shakeass" Shakeshaft took up bass and drums. These three became the catalysts of the rebirth of Drop Method. By the spring of 2006, Kyle, Tim, and Nick had covered the six songs on the tape, recorded them, and began burning them to CD's, giving copies to whoever would listen, staying true to Kyle's dream of keeping his uncle's sound alive.
