DRILL is yet so little, it is a sonority, it is a project, it is a dream.
It is the attempt of perforation. Something that disturbs the ear and tries to penetrate the brain.

DRILL are Manuel Portugal Azevedo, vocals and guitars, Pedro Ghitaj Gonalves, drums and Antonio Pedro, bass guitar. Theres been a year since theyve teamed up. Manel and Antnio have met before, from other bands (Rebel Blues Band and Jack & os Estripadores), troughout the years they have fed the will of making some other rockiest projects, after some jams with Ghitaj, they have challenged him to join in a roughest rock power trio.
Since then some themes were developed trying that the trio formation was not a problem but one advantage, the strenght of both the song and musical intruments was a main issue, there is an effort for the live audiences do not feel the need of more elements in the band, and that the simplicity in the songs can make them stronger. Four themes were chosen, the ones that could tell more about the band at that time and DRILL went to studio. The first EP Thrill was recorded, it has the tracks One Man, Burning, Summerland e Porn Star. In this EP you can also find a vdeo cilp of Burning directed by Francisco Pavo, an old friend.
The CD was officially released at the 16th of April at Lounge bar in Lisboa. This gig showed what DRILL wanted to do, full house and everybody pleased and surprised with new Power Rock trio.
Since then some rdio stations have showed some interest, and the EP was positively reviewed in some sites, gigs, a lot of new songs and the hope that the big concert shows up, and puts the DRILL drilling.
