Emerging from the South Bay of Los Angeles comes DreadStarr. Fusing DanceHall style drums and bass to the energy of rock guitars, DreadStarr has taken Southern California's music scene by storm. This eclectic four-piece is carving out their own unique musical path with conscious lyrics and a fresh urban sound. Their message is simple, unity through diversity.
Since the bands inception in 2004, DreadStarr has performed at the Waikiki Shell, headlined Santa Anita's Sunshine Millions Event featured on CBS, featured on the Surf Roots Compilation w/ Damian Marley, Pepper and Michael Franti, featured in the Quiksilver/Roxy movie "Sofia" and was voted in the Top 100 Unsigned Artists of 2005 by Music Connection magazine. The band spent 2006 in pre-production for their debut album and in august entered the studio at Phantom Vox in Los Angeles. The band's debut album DREADSTARR will be released on March 24th, 2007.
