Double Entendre is one of the newest, most energetic rock quintets to hit Central Pennsylvania. Hailing from Lebanon Valley College, the band was originally formed between three roommates who shared a similar passion for music in late 2006. With JT Fredlund as lead guitarist, Brian Dempsey on vocals and percussion, and Carmen Forte on bass, Double Entendre hit the ground running as an eclectic cover band playing various campus functions and events. Looking to expand on their original material, the trio recruited lead singer Phillip Freeman and rhythm guitarist Brad O'Connell in late 2007. After a few practices and a couple of late jam sessions, it was clear that Double Entendre was coming into its own as a powerhouse act!
Within less than a year, the bands high-octane style and originality landed them over twenty shows at major venues including: The Chameleon Club (Lancaster, PA), The Crocodile Rock Cafe (Allentown, PA), Doc Watson's Pub (Philadelphia, PA), The Laserdome (Manheim, PA), Club 19 (York, PA), and Media Coffee House (Media, PA).. Within the same timeframe, the band has won several competitions and has had the privilege of sharing the stage with Captain of Compliments, Letters For Lovers, and the acclaimed national rock bands, Mae, Just Surrender, Jet Lag Gemini, Motionless In White, and The Casualties. Not only does the band pride itself on its accomplishments over the past few months, but also on each members dedication to maintain good standing as an active student at Lebanon Valley College. Double Entendre owes these achievements to its devoted fans and support of loved ones, as they pursue their education while maintaining a deep passion for writing, touring, and performing.
Currently, the band is promoting its eight song album Love in Ink including their pulsating anthems In the Darkness and State of Nothingness and the crowd pleasing single Read Between the Lines. Other tracks include new and provocative epochs Crimson Skies and Vapid Love, while still showing a softer side with their ballad Sirens.
The band is looking forward to up and coming shows and encourages everyone to drop by and say hello here on their Myspace page. The band shares its love and appreciates your support.
