BIO OF THE BAND

Donna is a girl whose heart has been broken by all the mistakes she has made, mainly prostitution. Mea is an acronym for Making Eternal Adjustments. Donna has been changing herself eternally for God so that when her day comes, she may sit at His feet, praising His name. Donna Mea began in December of 2004 by an idea that the two original band members, Chad and Chance, thought of. That idea was to bring the name of Jesus Christ into the metal music scene as a light to a dying world. So, naturally, obstacles arose. As a band, they started out with five members and have desperately tried to keep up with that same amount of members. Even though members came and went, they are proud to have had those past members. The original guitarist TJ and drummer Tyler from Donna Mea are now in a band called One Minute Halo. As time went by, there just seemed to be more and more excuses as to why members would come and go. The lead vocals, Chad, mentioned that the changing members crippled the band as a whole. Nevertheless, they strived to share Gods Word with todays youth, providing a positive message encompassed by faith. They have also, just recently, started an awareness of breast cancer due to the brothers (Chad and Chance) mother being diagnosed with this disease. Donna Meas energy onstage has not been hidden. Many fans have multiplied, becoming almost addicted to the bands passion and motivation for the crowd to become involved with their love for God portrayed. Donna Mea started getting a name for themselves after a very short time of being a band. After TJ and Tyler (as well as bassist Gilbert) left the band, new members were drawn to the name Donna Mea. Guitarist James, and brothers drummer Ian and bassist Nathan joined. They brought with them new fans as well as more shows to play at. However, God has called them away to do other things. New Donna Mea guitarist Kris, played in a band called Set Apart which is now Dead Men in Reno, signed to Candle Light Records. Through all of these trials as a band, they have persevered only with Gods constant provision and protection. God has blessed Donna Mea tremendously by following His will. They now have just recently found a new bassist, Mike, and drummer ross. So, now, Donna Mea asks you to keep them in your prayers so that they may continue to do the will of God, praising Him all along their way.
