Members: Mamerto (Guitar), Fran(Bass), Victor(Guitar and Vocal) and Dani(Drums)
The band was born in Malaga in April of 1996 under the name of Raska y Pika. Its components are Mamerto Gamboa (guitar and choirs), Dani Cerezo(Drums) and Fran Delgado(Bass and voice). Its debut took place in Julio of that same year, playing with Angry Shake at Molino del Cante in Torremolinos, Mlaga. During this time, the sound of the band was a basic sound, next to the Ramones and the nascent NOFX.
In May of 1997 they published their first demo "Mushroom Attack", which contained 9 tracks like "Fucking Nation", "Away" or "Bob". These songs were the main repertoire that the band played in the shows. In 1998 they got the third position at Certamen de Msica Rock de Mlaga. Due to the prize, they played together Tabletom in the summer fair of that year and recorded the song "Are You Laughing?" at Dune studios (Mlaga) with Sergio Cascales.
In October of 1998 they recorded at Pig Studios (Granada) with Javi PPM their second demo "Punk Time Rock". This demo conteined 10 songs and two of them Mamerto sings the main voice. The sound of this demo is more elaborated than the previous one and its influences of ska-reggae notice in songs like "Wake Up" or "Great Ball", echoes to Pennywise in "Fear" and a greater interest by one of its favorite bands: Lagwagon.
During 1999 and 1998 the band made lots of shows in Malaga. In October of the 1999, again at Pig Studios, they recorded the third demo: "Chopsticks", for this demo the main voice falls on Mamerto, making Fran the choirs. The sound of this demo is more elaborated than the previous one, as it is reflected in songs like "No more times" or "Fleet a pita".
At the beginning of year 2000, Alex got in the band, who already had experience in others band of meldical punk of Malaga, like visual Searching. During this time, Raska and Pika played in several festivals like "Delta Rock", "Benalmdena rock", Lucenarock and another edition of " Certamen de Msica Rock de Mlaga ".
In summer of 2000, Raska and Pika increased the number of his components with Vctor Pea (guitar). Vctor came from bands like Visual Searching or Oki Doki. The main objective of the band was to integrate these two new members and look for an own style.
In 2002 they played lots of shows in Malaga with bands like Jangle, GZ, First Resist, La tapia del sordo, and they got the second prize in the festival "Febremarz". Shortly after they started to record at Ecoson studios (Mlaga) in summer of 2002. The title of this demo is "Lets Talk About Stupid Things", in clear tribute to Lagwagon. It consists of six songs in which Alex is the main voice. In August Alex leaved the band and Raska and Pika returned to be a quartet. Vctor started to sing.
In 2004 the band decided to change the name, Dogbowl appears in the scene. They only changed the name, the components were the same and the style too, melodic Hardcore and Californian Punk. In this year they got a new recording "And Six Months Later..." .During six hard months, they recorded and mixed at Wired Studios (Mlaga) twelve songs: "Fucking Calling", "My Name is Zorro", "Voices" or "Old Farm" (Dani sings this song) are a example. At this point, the band start to show the new demo in several venues of Malaga, Madrid and Asturias.........................
