Review On The Takeover Vol.3
blog post
Vida Lounge was the spot again last Saturday as the Latin urban community, fans and artists alike, came out to pay respects to one of our most talented DJs - DJ Trambo - and the release of his long awaited mixtape 'The Takeover Vol.3'. Trambo tells Latinurban.ca why he thinks this is the best one of the bunch.
"Well this is the third compilation now, this one here is much bigger than the ones we've done before," says Trambo. "This one has 54 tracks and it's hosted by Fito Blanko - so everybody has been calling me up on it - they're looking for this party - and we've come together. This CD is going to be one of the best of the summer."
'The Takeover Vol.3' follows in the tradition of the series and drops some of the freshest beats from the Latin Urban world all mixed and mashed up by DJ Trambo - but don't think it's just like any other mix - 'The Takeover Vol.3', as always, brings out the big guns with a lot of local talent.
"We got Code Blue, we got Jr. Mauro," says Trambo. "You see, we're going to have a second CD coming out, which is the special edition - it's going to be all Toronto based - we're going to have Flakko, Shantall, we're going to have Fito again, we're going to have all Toronto talent and you can expect that next month."
Trambo never disappoints and the second, special edition mixtape sounds even hotter. The man himself is working hard for the community and tells us how he feels once the work is done.
"I feel tired, yo," says Trambo with a laugh. "It's nothing but work - a month and a half, two months of nothing but work - but when you come down to it, at the end of the night it's a great feeling - finishing off the CD and people are enjoying the music."
DJ Trambo certainly did not disappoint at the CD release the music was bumping, the crowd looked sharp and we even got to see Jr. Mauro drop some heat on the stage. In the end, the Latin Urban community represented for one of their own and we were more than proud to be there - congratulations DJ Trambo. "The Takeover Vol. 3" is available for sale now.
