DJ Mike Stein titled "UNLV's Most Requested DJ 2007": Michael is currently a 21-year-old DJ. He is a full time student in the city of sin at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Mike Stein started playing the piano when he was only in 2nd grade and then moved to the guitar when he was in junior high. After realizing neither instrument was for him and music being an interest he began djing at the age 15 thanks to a good friend Erik Ross. Some of his influences are Paul Oakenfold, Obe-1, Erik Ross, Vice, Scott Storch, Scott Ialacci, Adam Goldstein, Mix Master Mike, and Grand Master Flash. When Mike Stein started djing he mainly played hip-hop and top 40. It wasn't until he began djing at college parties when his swag and sound began to change. Slowly more rock and mash-ups sets were being played and the transition gave a new vibe to the parties. It wasn't until his second year when he teamed up with a the UNLV ALL STARS (a frat like group that liked to party) when rock and mash-ups took over the parties. During his junior year he teamed up with Avenue Records and Late Night Entertainment and the concept of his album "Rockstar Habits" with tech house elements mixed with mainstream rap and mashed-up with some rock became possible. This album is made for the club or ready to kick off a house party and keep it going till the cops show up.
