Divide the Sea began in October 2006, in Greenville, South Carolina, after the break up of several prominent local bands. The dudes got together and wanted to create a band that was going to play something new and different in their area. After only three songs and three shows all the guys felt the calling to make this band their job and they up and went on a two week tour hitting spots all over the southeast. In December, they began negotiating a deal with a national production company; Fidelity Entertainment Group. FEG has worked with bands such as Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, Inhale Exhale, Spoken, John Reuben, and has had several songs on MTV. After recording a single in February and working with the company for several months, Divide the Sea signed a development deal to produce a 4-song EP and later a Full Length. During the summer months of '07, Divide the Sea was on the road for two months completing a tour booked without the support of a label or a booking agency. In December and January '07/08 they hit the road and played in the North and Midwest regions of the U.S. This opened doors to more opportunities as they made more contacts. Having only been together for a year, the band has been on 3 tours, played over 125 shows, had featured air play on multiple radio stations, been in several regional and national magazines (ex: HM Magazine, Relevant Magazine), been featured on Attack of the Show on G4TV, and released their debut EP entitled, "Mustache." The future looks bright for the boys as they plan to finish recording their full length and then tour during the summer months to support "Mustache."
