Hello. I am Colin Michael-Baxter Riley. I started writing and recording my own music about four years ago. Until recently, all of my music has been more of a side-project for me; and mainly due to the fact that I've been playing in bands where someone else has been the main songwritter (The International Drive, Sedona, Ashwin). I started writing for this project, Distances, around August, 2008. Now that I have time to make my music a full time gig, I've been basically living in my makeshift studio recording fresh jams round-the-clock. People have always asked me what type of music I play, and most the time I haven't had a direct answer for them. Now I've found myself settling into a genre that fits me well. I like to think its alternative indie rock, but most people would probably throw the term 'pop' in there somewhere.. I am currently in the process of putting a band together, and will be seeking label support in the near future... Here's a few songs to sample for now.. I will be posting more tasty jams soon.
