Die Noia Futuriszka is Buenos Aires-based artist Fernando Pont Verges musical project. A foundational member of Rayos Catriel, a techno-noise pop band from the 90's, he got more and more involved in computer generated sound and the use of DAWs and a laptop as his unique instrument besides occasional recorded and processed guitar.
In 2005 he signed to Fuga Discos, the record label behind the mythical yearly festival "Fuga Jurasica" which is held at the Natural Science Museum of Buenos Aires (the festival is organized by paleontologist and musician Luis Marte and it hosts a variety of art shows, from electronic music to photography, video and dance).
DNF's mainly concern is music as the possibility of an analogy to natural processes, including bio structures, chance, the ultimate similarity between the macro and the micro, the forest as a map of diversity, the sound as genetic material ready to be manipulated, and finally an enormous, sympathetic desire to -at least- scratch the surface of the mistery of creation.

You can watch and hear a live performance here (DNF at Codigo pais - 2006)

Too smooth, too pretty, too REPETITIVE! Needs an internal dialectic, needs developments, more disorder, needs tension between order and disorder - P.R.R. Dec 08
