Combining thick punk chords & riffs, pick slides & bass lines, the occasional ska breakdown, topped off with raw energy and intense on-stage antics, Dewey has been working hard since day one to make an impression on the local scene. Although still in high school, you wont hear them singing about love, school, or teenage angst. No, no, no. Behind the upbeat rhythms come optimistic messages of peace, animal & human rights, world & social issues, and occasionally racism and environmental matters. The band strongly encourages the youth to be aware of their nations politics and be active; voice your opinions and know your rights!
Originally a pop punk band formed in late 2003 by bassists Jeff H. and guitarist Derek M, the band has gone through several serious line up changes and has recorded numerous demos and EPs throughout the years. While experiencing some tough times and harsh criticism, the core members have remained together the entire time, for one reason only: to make music and share it with anyone willing to listen. Theyve put the past behind them and the strong line up has been completed, ready to show the world what theyre really made of. They plan to release a new demo, a split EP, and possibly even a full length album, all this year (2007).
