Devolved is Australia's leading force in extreme metal. Technologies, their debut album, is intense and ferocious, a brutal yet technical death metal album with faint industrial influences. Their latest album 'Calculated' is to be released world wide shortly and is an overwhelming album of intense math-death-metal. Devolved have been likened in parts to bands such as Fear Factory and Meshuggah, but Devolved is definitely more diverse and complex, particularly in the drum department, where John Sankey delivers some punishing rythms. Sankey also plays in a new project with Dino Cazares (x-FF guitarist). Devolved is highly recommended for any metal fan!
