D'espairs Ray are a hardcore // metal // Visual Kei band from Japan.

The band formed in September, 1999 with members Hizumi (vocal), Karyu (guitar), Zero (bass) and Tsukasa (drums). They are a charismatic figure within the Visual Kei scene in Japan, and have recently begun to tour around the Europe and North America regions. D'espairs Ray have attained many fans ("Mania's") through their strong & powerful live performances and their diverse original music, which incorporate both Japanese and Western sounds.

D'espairs Ray will be going on their 2007 Japan tour, "Spiral Staircase: Break The MIRROR?", from 9th September.
