The city of Lancaster, Pennsylvania is not exactly known for it's huge hardcore movement. Nor is it a breeding ground for hundreds of uprising and widely known bands. The members of Derringer plan on changing that. Derringer's messages are as sincere and bold as they are painstakingly heartfelt. Their sound is something of a whirlpool of all the best parts of hardcore (old school and new), metal, rock, and punk. In June of 2003 they released "Lady Killer", an independent EP which has been circulating the streets of the US, and will be releasing "A Rock N' Roll Tragedy", their first ever full length for Zero Velocity in March 2004. Their blend of gritty metal vocals, heavy hardcore breakdowns, and the speed and attitude of punk rock is sure to earn them a place besides many of their top contemporaries. Derringer have graced the stage with many of today's widely successful acts such as Give Up The Ghost (AN), Striking Distance, The Suicide File, Stretch Armstrong, The AKA's and This Day Forward. Fans of those bands will definitely be into Derringer's unique sound as well.
