In December 1999 Dependent saw the light for the very first time. With their first demo-cd Looking for you, which was released in the spring of 2000, these five boys from Eindhoven sent out a clear message to the rest of the world, their story wasnt going to end here.

Trough the following years Dependent hasnt been sitting on their asses and they developed an own musical style. Influenced by the melodic sounds of the Skate-punk, which made it all begin, and straight forward old school hardcore, Dependent can not be labeled as neither one of them. Their music could be defined as melodic Punk/Hardcore, but goes much further then that.

Except their own music style, Dependent also has created their own live-style during the years. With more than 150 shows behind their name and several tours, the visiting of a
Dependent-show stands guarantee for PUNK full off energy and passion. And with their hard live-attitude they know how to raise the heartbeat of many Punk and Hardcore minded people.
