A rock band based in Manchester, England but with influences residing mainly in American alternative rock (Jimmy Eat World, Arcade Fire, Paramore, Weezer), Delayed Promise have been releasing EPs and gigging across the UK since they formed in 2003.

Helen, Andy and Rick met while at college and by combining their US-based influences with the joys of growing up in the inclement weather of Greater Manchester, the band have developed a unique upbeat sound that has roots on both sides of the Atlantic.

The male/female harmonies and a focus on well-crafted songs have produced a series of solid releases including the Stick Around EP (2004), Just Go! (2006), Forever Tonight (2007) and Our City's Drowning (2007). The band have played over 100 gigs and festivals across the country including support slots with AntiProduct and US rockers Bullets To Broadway, in addition to well-received performances at Manchester's In The City music showcase.

Delayed Promise release their sixth EP, the 6-track 'Quick Fixes For Easy Needs' on 1st September 2008 and plan to gig across the country for the rest of the year.
