We are in the middle of this tour..and it is officially throwin down DD style.... We were playing last night at this club and I walk up to the front of the stage to show a lil love to the crazy people at the front! so I lean down and next thing I know I got a fist in the eye! Usually I can judge the distance but I was a little off last night... They were throwin up their fists as they felt the ROCK and I was gettin too low.. My Face and that Fist had a clash..but hey! thats Rock and Roll Baby!
I wanna send some love to all you crazy Acquire The Fire people... We headlined our first ATF the other night and it was a rad... lookin forward to some more of those in the spring... speaking of fires, we played a 100+ year old music hall the other night ... it was a really cool place .. a few fans email us the next day saying that it caught fire at like 3 AM the night after we played it. So we were the last band to play there before it went up in flames... Crazy! We are glad no one was there and hurt in the fire.
We have a few more shows this tour then we are taking some time off for the holidays to spend time with families and to complete the NEW RECORD! Let me tell you this.. it will be all that you have wanted and more!! We have written more then 30 song ideas already and we plan to write even more to bring you exactly what you deserve and crave from a DECYFER DOWN Album. Stay posted for more details! I personally want to share the most exciting news that I have had in all my life...in less than 18 days I am going to celebrate the beginning of my new life with my beautiful bride Laura. She has brought such a love and completion to my life! I am soo thankful to God for blessing me with her. Please pray for she and I as we begin this new journey of marrige and a life together. Love you guys! see ya soon!

So yeh... needless to say I HAD to tell you guys about this one....
Huntsville Alabama... "Big Spring Jam" We played a show there the other day.. Little did we know that we were gonna be frisked by a power frenzied police officer...
We finish the show... went great! Alabama throws down! we pack up to head home... ahh home, its few and far between so needless to say we were READY!
I jumped in to leave, and everybody was just sitting there stunned the engine was off.. Come to find out Josh had just been yelled at by a police officer threatening to impound our van and take us to jail if we turned it back on and started to move.
The police officer who I will just call "Officer Barbrady" was nowhere to be seen.. so we are sitting there all packed up and ready to start the 14+ hr drive home 15 minutes or so go by while we awaited "word" that it was ok to back up and head out the gate. Apparently we had turned on a street, to pick up our packed up merch, where no vehicles were supposed to drive during this 100,000 ppl eventbut there were no signs and it was a street so yeh we took it.. remember we really wanted to get home!
Just then the "stage manager" comes over and tells us its ok to back up and leave.. we then tell him about "Officer Barbrady" who was having a bad night and said stay put... he then says "Dont worry I took care of it"... so with no sight of the officer and the word from the stage manager that we were ok to leave we proceeded to leave... hahah little did we know!
After turning our 30 something foot rig around we come to the gate to exit the festival... (by the way the exit to freedom, and home was only 30-40 feet from where we were parked waiting..for what seems like forever!)
I then look up and see probably 13 or 14 officers rushing towards us.. blue lights blazing and soo much "brass" (aka big shots) you could start a small army...the officer runs up to the front window and begins to "unload" on Josh... who just happened to be driving.. ".Get out of the car and follow me!" so we are all like here we go.. so we are praying and waiting to hear what the verdict is while the officers are scoping us out and looking over everything ..
I look over my shoulder and Josh is getting screamed at by "Officer Barbrady" who come to find out from all the other officers is a lil on the power trip side.. after running his license and driving record..(which is clean) he tells Josh to turn around and put his hands on the trailer and begins to frisk him down...looking for ak-47's I'm sure...so we continue to pray... Brandon is sayin its harassment and I am just speechless ..Big T and Chuck (our crew) are trying to figure out what to do...
An officer comes over and asks if someone else can drive.. we say "Yes Sir"... "What is the situation?" ..... "Well he is goin to jail and a wrecker is on the way to impound the vehicle"... Our stomachs drop and it looks like home is gonna be a little farther off than we thought .... GREAT!!
The Festival "production manager" ...the stage managers boss... (by the way that 1st guy that said "I took care of it!!") rolled and left us to dry.. comes over and starts pleading with "Officer Barbrady" ..... "you are ready to let these guys go home right?"..... NO! I am ready to take'm to jail and impound the vehicle .." he pleads some more.. you wouldn't do that for me would you?...."I already bought the Festival t-shirt" I wanna take'm to jail"!!!
So here we are... finally off for a few days and the only thing between us is ONE upset officer..We are praying and just asking for mercy and just a little grace .. I mean come on, being a band is always easy right?? People always say "Ohh you guys have it made" haha well we are blessed but its not always easy...
All the sudden with no reason but a miracle.." Officer Barbrady" gives Josh's license back and says get in and follow me.. so he then escorts us out and never said another word!! He just waves us on.. we bounce with a quickness
Back on the road .. with yet ONE MORE story for the kids!!
Moral of the story... Dont listen to a guy that says he's "got it taken care of"... listen to the guy with "10 MM Glock" on his belt...

Crazy Decyferites!
Just flew back from a couple awesome shows in California. The Six Flags show was great! The show in Tracy,CA was awesome too! So great seeing all you west coast DD fans come out to support us.
We have been writing more and more for our next CD release.. and it is turning into a pretty epic record, be prepared! We should be going in to the studio later this fall to begin recording. We have been writing so much to bring you the best record possible.. it just flat out throws down DD style!! More news to come !
