History:
It all started in the year 2003 the group was Roots of Obsession, a fairly heavy band in the fairly quiet town of Fawcett. The band consisted of Jeremy, and Colton Pudlowski, Nick and Jeff McCann, and Connor MacLachlan, the music was based on the older heavier stylings of Ozzy and AC/DC. The band broke up due to creative differences in 2004.
Nick and Jeff McCann would continue to collaborate with Connor to play many a high profile gig with many a talented singer, including Kristen Bellows, Matt Hollingsworth, and Nicole Sereda. They would change names just as often as singers but continue to produce successful shows from 2004 to 2006.
Following the breakup Jeremy, Colton and Connor merged with aspiring drummer Joey Magillvray and formed the powerhouse alternative group Just Strangers. Just Strangers would play several major gigs before interest in several side projects derailed the group leading to their breakup in 2005.
One of the side projects was a group Jeremy formed with indie rockers Andrew and Greg Tkach and the group was aptly named: The Three Bears. The Band would record one CD which was released in 2005 but only produced mild interest in the trio. The band's name was changed to The Moondogs and Colton and Connor were brought into the mix to form a five piece. The Band came out with one CD titled "Rise of The Moondogs" released in 2006. It wasn't as successful as anticipated due to Jeremy and Andrew splitting lead vocals creating a confusing sound for the listener. The band would breakup following the release of the album.
In 2006 the McCanns found a permanent singer in Nicole Sereda and named the group Cease Fire. The group would create music with a southern style feel that became quite popular in the town of Westlock and enabled them the fan support required to keep a band together. The band would later change it's name to 44 South, based on the highway that runs through Westlock and the hometown of Fawcett, but still keep the same lineup and sound.
They would re-amerge as The Gear Seabastian, and Apotheosis. The Gear Seabastian at the time would feature the Tkachs and guitarist turned bassist Tyler Simmons. They would create a classic jam band feel that created alot of hype and eventually led to the release of the hit single "The Policeman" off the yet to be released record "inside the red and white lemon". Apotheosis would record several songs and play several shows but the progressive, epic style if you will was too much for the country lovin town of Westlock. The group would breakup and eventually re-amerge with the Tkachs plus Simmons as Imitating Heroes, the group lasted all of a couple months before breaking up at the end of 2006.
2007 was a quite year for everyone Connor, Ryan, Nick and Nicole were off to college, Colton and Joey got a "real" job, Tyler Simmons smoked too much drugs, Jeremy worked on his solo project, and the Tkachs recorded underground material that may never see the light of day. But here we are now, the summer of 2007 and everyone is back creating the music that we love and getting it out to you the listener. Thank you for reading. stay posted for history updates as my memory clears up a little (not from drugs though). I promise. drugs are gad. haha.
