Deathgaze are a hardcore // metalcore // Visual Kei band from Japan.

The band formed in July, 2003 with members Hazuki (vocal), Naoto (guitar), Ai (bass) and Naoki (drums). In the spring of 2004, Hazuki left the band to start his own band named lynch. Deathgaze found their next vocalist, Sou, later that same year and with their new vocalists' unique screamo antics and the bands improved "un-Visual Kei like" heavy metal sounds, they instantly became widely known amongst Japan's underground music scene.

Deathgaze released their fourteen song debut album, "genocide and mass murder" in July, 2006. Soon after, Sou announced his departure from the band, due to personal reasons. Deathgaze are currently still looking for a new vocalist, and have stated that they will keep searching until they can find suitable talent.
