Hey everyone. We are a new band but with a good amount of experience. A couple of years ago Scott picked up a guitar and fell in love with it. His friend Mike also began playing and eventually bought a 70's Fender Strat and harnessed his skills. After jamming for a while and hanging out with rich, they started simply covering some songs with the occasional late night delivery from Domino's as their fuel. As they began to make up riffs on their own, the idea sparked to form a band. The question came up as to who the drummer would be. Scott suggested Dave who he performed with on the Matawan Drumline and he became the fourth member of the band.

The Name: With the areas of guitar, vocals, and percussion being covered, they only needed a name..and here's the story: Just recently the four guys were walking from Wawa on Rt. 35 after getting some chips, slushies, bread, and other randomness.. Rich suggested Dawn of Apollo. Apollo is the Greek "archer-god of medicine and healing, light, truth, archery and also a bringer of death-dealing plague." They also learned that he was a god of music and poetry. This description grabbed their attention, and with one walk to Wawa and a trip to Mike's house, the four became the band known as "Dawn of Apollo"...

(11-22-06) We are currently in the process of recording our first song, so check back soon to hear our debut.
(11-24-06) The band is taking a trip to Guitar Center to pick up some new gear. This will probably include a new amp and possibly some FX pedals.
(6-18-07) Yes looong time (sry about that) but now we have two new songs done and we are looking to get them recorded right as soon as possible, but for now i've uploaded a preview of the second song without the vocals, or drum parts. Let us know what you think!
