"Sometimes you have to watch someone love something before you can love it yourself" The quote by Donald Miller (Blue Like Jazz) describes Dave's experience in music. Growing up he watched hometown favorites, relient k, come in to their own and fell in love with what they were doing. In his mid teens he decided to set out on a musical journey of his own.
Dave is a hard driving folk country singer songwriter that is influenced heavily by Johnny Cash, John Denver and Bob Dylan. Dave loves the outdoors and it shows in his songs, from "Fireflies" to "Down in the Valley." His acoustic guitar playing is very much a throw back to Johnny Cash, but he is able to play lead lines to differentiate his style. Dave has a wide vocal range and he is unmistakably folk.
