Hello, my name is Dave Preston and I am currently in the studio recording my third full length album to be titled Enjoy Your World. Since the release of my first rock record Who I Used To Be, I have been continually performing in virtually every venue in Colorado, including performances with many of the regions top musical talents. I have been showcased on television twice and have been played on independent and internet radio.
While writing the songs that will become Enjoy Your World, I chose to record them as cinematically as possible, reflecting the moments in my life that gave birth to the colors in the tunes. In my mind, each track takes me back to where I wrote it, making this record a very personal one for both myself and hopefully anyone who listens to it.
Some of the songs on the album, such as Never Meant To Hurt You, Cant Wait To Get Home, and My Reality have been fan favorites for a long time. Others have been written from my experiences and struggles in local Colorado music scene. Alone speaks of breaking free of material indulgences and stepping away from modern idealism to live life to its fullest emotional and spiritual potential. All of the songs on the record come from a deep personal experience. Many of the lessons have been hard learned and none have been easy.
Although its been just a short time, it feels like an eternity since my first show when I was 16 at Hermans Hideaway in Denver. Since then, I have performed from local coffee shops and bars to the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater. Its been an amazing road and I cant wait to see where it takes me.
