friends where up north, out seeing family, away for thanks giving, going to bed early, playing shows ealswere, or pleaseing themselves, but tonight there were a small group of people at George's house watching DARKMAN preform a 6 song set and have fun. I was given a call around 7:30 and it lead to us playing a basment show ASAP. I gave mark a call, he bought a ping pong table, and we loaded up our cars and went over and played a rely super duper fun show. Even though we used like a kids drum set that was sized for toddlers, it was gnarly with gnarly ppl, i even ended with my shirt off and plants at my ankles. a few songs wre filmed and i received the tape, so ill put it up on you tube soon, hopefully. Local music should be more like this.

We recorded A new song called Chronicals of Prince Roony. Its pretty gnarly. We did it in like one or 2 takes. Its about the movie our friends Ted B. and Stephen Roony and friends made. The release for that comes out in about 2 to three weeks. We first played the song at the logomen center show w/ the response and those royals and such... hopefully I'll put the song up soon

Yo Yo Yo, Mark and I finally finished the first tape of the tape recorded loops and beats record, thing, diddy, were making. Again it's Techno, electronica, chil, and The Cure sounding if The Cure had like a robot in their band. We are pretty sure we are going to make it free at our shows, we might charge 50 cents or somthing to pay for the blank disks that we copy the stuff too??? That and because we are obviously in this for the money. Sorry some of us have fucking kids to feed. gezz, grow up. And cheack out the loops and beats when they come out

Dear blog readers,
Dan Perlstein of DARKMAN here, I've been working on this little bitty in basment for the past few days. Its all being done with a loop function on a DD6 pedal, which isn't exactly the best thing to be looping with, and my friend, Nick B.'s, hand tape recorder, to give it that "sick sounding, but I recorded it on a tape racorder sound." Most of the songs are techno in essence and some are just ambeint little beats and instrumentals. before almost everyone theres a sweet sample of w/e was on nick's tape. Most are of his grandfather talking about the cold war and stuff. none the less its pretty freaken gnarly, and we hope to record it to cd and sell to world for like 2 bucks or somthing very cheap and easy like that. well just a little FYI from your boys of DARKMAN.

last night was a sick show at the logomen center. We opened for some sick bands like Those royals and The Response and DPHHG and just a whole buch of power pop sunshine. so us, along with DPHHG, were kind of soar thumbs with in the "preppy" and "stlyeish" power pop bands featured that night. But thankyou everyone who came out, it was still a real good time. Its very flatering if someone who dosn't rely know me or mark and still come up and say that you liked us or a song of ours or somthing. We appreciate the people who like the music we like. thx again.
P.S. possible holloween show at the Loc de Chour pavillion?????
