The sound hits like a knife in the heart. "Darker In My Eyes" formed when vocalist Michael Torres and bassist Matt Rehome left the post-punk band "The Disadvantaged". After a revolving door of guitarists and drummers, the band has solidified with Mike Prante on the drums and Anthony Rodriguez on the guitar. A band not content with fitting into a specific catagory, Darker In My Eyes has taken the best aspects of many genres and fused them together to create an unforgiving, savage, and haunting sound of metalcore melodics. Influenced by such bands as From First To Last, Manntis, It Dies Today, Job For A Cowboy, Bleeding Through, and the Misfits, Darker In My Eyes has a completely original sound that spans the genres of screamo to death metal, and a live show not to be forgotten. In early April 2005, the band began creating new material, throwing away all their old songs and creating an all new song lineup. Once finished, Darker In My Eyes recorded their first album "No Excuse [EP]". Darker In My Eyes is currently working on the lineup for their second effort "Murder Is An Understatement". The new album brings Darker In My Eyes away from the screamo sound and back to their metal roots with their trademark brutal verses, melodic chorus's, and bone shattering breakdowns. Darker In My Eyes mainly plays shows in and around the Inland Empire and Pomona area.
