New blog post and new songs coming soon. Wedding is 9 days away!
Some of you all living in the Charlotte area already know that I sing and play guitar in a side project, Martureo, which is a full indie rock band. Yoiu should check them out at www.purevolume.com/martureo Our 7 song EP "The Waiting Room" is being mixed this week and will be available for purchase in the next few weeks. I will post some new tracks from "The Silent Death of Innocence" as soon as I can.
The new album, "The Silent Death of Innocence" is almost completely finished and will have an early March release by myself. I can't say whether or not it will have a label debut. Stay tuned. Two of the seven tracks are here for you to listen to. Another one is on my "My Space" page. As soon as I find out about the label, I may or may not make them available for you all to download. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy them. I am currently playing one show on Feb 25th in Wake Forest. More may follow.

Sorry about the confusion. I am still writing music, though I am focusing more on my job in the ministry, getting married in August, and my academic studies. Jalusian was a result of myself getting caught up in the disillusionment of today's music industry. I do not need a "pen name" in order for people to like me or my music. I don't really care if you don't like my music because I don't write for anyone but God and those I love. They love me whether I have a pen name or not. That being said, if you do get something out of these songs then that makes it all worth while.

It's 2:23 AM right now in my Uncle's basement in Louisville, KY. That is where I live right now (yes...in my Uncle's basement). It is 9 days until I marry the most beautiful woman in the world. It doesn't really feel like it is going to happen. I am a little nervous but otherwise quite numb to the whole situation. I have been in love with Amanda since the first year we started dating. It's like this is a surprise for me. There is no one else I could see myself with for the rest of my life. That being said, I am excited about it all being over with so we can move on to living together and experiencing whatever life brings our way. I am truly going to marry my best friend.
Okay...I am writing both new and old material right now. What I mean by that is that I am working on new songs as well as polishing up some older tunes that I haven't put on CD as of yet. I am looking at setting up a small but decent home studio sometime this year and putting these tunes up. Everything is a little crazy right now so it won't be anytime soon. I will try to put some more song from "The Silent Death of Innocence" up as soon as life gets back to normal. I will either get a copy of Cakewalk's newest version of Sonar or I will wait and get a more affordable version of Pro Tools. We shall see.
I really am desiring to go deeper in my relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ. I have been in such a whirlwind of life experiences that my relationship with God has been less than I would desire. I take that back. Life HAS been crazy but I have not made the time for God that I should. It is MY fault and I pray that I make ammends to remedy the situation as soon as possible. Pray that I would follow Jesus closely and that He would guide Amanda and I to where He needs us to serve.
I love you all in your own special ways.
Until Our Paths Cross Again,
Daniel

I am currently in the quiet but intersting town of Murray, KY visiting my fiance', Amanda. I was ordained into the Gospel ministry last weekend (Palm Sunday, not Easter Sunday) and I will graduate from college in about four or five weeks. I will be working and getting married this summer so I may be a little busy but I hope to have some time to start working on new material and to find time to play around the KY area. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I am moving to Louisville, KY in a few weeks. In the meantime, don't be a stranger.

Sorry stuff has been slow recently. School has already started for me and I am getting married in 28 weeks from this Saturday so...needless to say, my life is a little more than hectic right now. That being said, I am hoping to play some shows this semester with my friend Aaron. I will let you guys know as soon as I find anything out. Take care and God bless.

It's almost 2006. This is a time to start over. A time for new beginnings. I realize everyday as I age a little bit more how precious life really is. I will wed to the most wonderful woman in the world in less than eight months. As I think about life and making the most of it, I see how crucial it is for each of us to be real. I don't need to have a whole band or even a "Pen Name." i am going to begin playing under my name again. i will be Daniel Crawley once again just as I have always been. I do not know what the future will hold but I hope I will continue to love music as I always have. For those of you who actually come here and listen to(...perhaps even get something from) the songs God has allowed to write, perform, record and love, I will write as long as I feel like I should. here's to the future, may God bless you in a very special way.
