In a world darkened by struggles, 20 year old Dan Erkel is confident that no matter what, faith and music will always get you through.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Erkel grew up witnessing the tangible merging of faith and music through the corporate worship setting of his home church. A talented singer, songwriter, drummer and guitarist, Erkel first got involved in the worship music scene during his early high school career, performing with Full Tilt, a church's ministry band that played shows, benefits and conventions in the local area. Eventually his experience would expand to also include fronting the alternative rock band Second Solution and leading worship every week on his college campus.
In January of 2009, Erkel was accepted into the Contemporary Music Center, an invitation-only artists' colony for musicians and entertainment industry executives on Martha's Vineyard. During his four-month residency on the island, Erkel sharpened his already exceptional skills in singing, songwriting, guitar and drumming. Now, Erkel has developed his sound into a unique mix of alternative rock and worship, and his lyrics into candid, personal reflections of spiritual discoveries.
