fun facts (dan realizes this is self-indulgent):
dan was born april 15th, 1986 in portland, maine.
his real name is actually daniel john cluchey.
dan was one half of the seminal southern maine original folk-jam band 'lieutenant dan' along with keyboardist "lt." scott lohmeyer, currently of southern connecticut's COGG railway, and later one half of the seminal southern maine original folk-jam band 'centerfield rock' along with skip mcmullan.
he graduated from cape elizabeth high school with the class of 2004 and he now goes to amherst college (class of 2008)
among his songwriting influences, dan counts will oldham, john darnielle, william butler yeats, dan chiasson, and sam beam as the most important.
