Seems like the next time Dan and I will be playing will be, dorky but true, at my senior recital at Florida Christian College. In order to get me to graduate, we'll be playing two new songs from a study (which will hopefully turn into an e.p.) about balance (especially how it pertains to a most high God).
Hopefully this summer will bring lots of opportunity to relax and play out more. This last semester of school has been a bit insane.

We got to play at the Christian Study Center in Gainesville with the highly esteemed Sydney & Melissa . It was a particularly good time. I'm really glad I got to hear their new songs and with a fuller band (djembe and violin in addition to guitar, piano, and accordion) to boot! To be true, I have never seen them in concert, but I have heard their sweet recorded tunes many a time in Bonnie's car and digitally through the medium of itunes. I heartily approve.
The best part of the entire affair was all the driving we got to do! Kissimmee traffic was at its finest on the way up to Gainesville. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to live here (lie!).
We also, in all of our pure Johnson intelligence, decided that it would be best to drive to my house after the concert, even though we left our after show dinner venue, Pita Pit, well after midnight. After making a snack stop (and threatening each other with RedBulls that we'll probably never actually consume [we got Starbucks drinks in the energy drink's stead]) around 2AM, we got to Punta Gorda at/around 4:30 AM, where we proceeded to watch a little tv, and fall asleep.
This weekend is the first week of the Open Mic (Encounter) that Dan's putting together. We'll get to open for that and witness the ample talents, most likely, of FCC's most adept. I look forward to coffee drinks as prepared by Bonnie and her soon to be notorious coffee crew.
