When he's not recording jazz/funk-infused indie music, New York native Dan Ackerman is a former radio DJ turned journalist, covering video games, gadgets, nightlife, and music for publications such as Spin, Blender, CNET, The Hollywood Reporter, PC Magazine, USA Today, WWE Magazine and Sync.
Tales Out of Night School is Dan's third album. Mixing styles and influences from Gil Scot-Heron and Roy Ayers to Beck and Donald Fagen, the album moves between jazzy instrumentals and singer/songwriter territory with ease.
